Return to Work

Our Return to Work packages offer you structured workshops, 1:1 and group coaching to ensure you are prepared for a confident and smooth transition back into the classroom.

1:1 Return to Work Coaching

Four sessions of 1:1 coaching with an experienced and qualified MTPT Project coach within the first two terms of your return.

These coaching sessions take place virtually and at times agreed by you and your coach.

We encourage you to request funding from your school, MAT or union as part of their commitment to your professional development, wellbeing and retention.

Funding available as standard for colleagues at SENDAT schools, Harris Federation and Oasis Community Learning.

Funding requests can be made on behalf of NEU members to regional officers.

Return to Work Workshops

Join us for one of our seven annual Return to Work workshops to prepare for a confident and informed return to work.

Open to all colleagues returning from a period of maternity, adoption or shared parental leave, this 90 minute workshop informs you of your legal entitlements as returning parents, the best practice you can request from your school, and gives you the time and group coaching space to get your logistical ducks in a row both at home and at school.

Importantly, this workshop gives you the chance to share your excitement, anxieties, tips and questions with colleagues in exactly the same position as you.

Join us in October, December, January, March, May, June and July each year.

Fully funded for all state school teachers in England.

Sustain and Grow

A six month group coaching programme with group cohorts starting in September and January every year.  Perfect for colleagues who want to maintain a sense of community, support and structure as they return to work.

Cohorts run on Tuesdays and Thursday, virtually, at 15:30-16:30.

Funded places available for NEU South Kent members.
