Pregnancy and Maternity Discrimination: what to know and what to do

The third webinar in our “What to Expect” series will help you to identify whether you are being treated unfairly because you are on maternity leave, or if you are pregnant.

We’ll provide examples of what discrimination can look like in a school setting, and how to address it or seek support from appropriate organisations.

The webinar will run for 45 minutes (recorded) followed by an optional 15 minutes Q&A (not recorded).  If you would like to join us anonymously, please change your Zoom name before logging in.

What do different forms of leave look like?

The final webinar in our “What to Expect” series explains the ins and outs of maternity leave and pay, and the different forms of leave available to birth-mothers, fathers and non-birthing partners.

June Virtual Afternoon Tea

Exhausted already and you’ve only just had lunch?  Sit down for a contact nap and join The MTPT Project for our monthly virtual coffee morning, hosted by Founder Emma Sheppard.  It’s the chance to ask questions, meet other members of The MTPT Project community, talk about teaching, CPD, parenting and all things education with a brew that you’ll hopefully get to drink whilst it’s still hot!

June Return to Work Workshop

Join The MTPT Project for this 90 minute online workshop to support you in your return to work following maternity, adoption or shared parental leave. 

We’ll share information about your legal entitlements, provide you with the headspace to identify your boundaries, and plan strategies to stick to them, and get your logistical and emotional ducks in a row ahead of your return.

Diverse Educator’s DEI Virtual Conference for ECTs

The DEI Virtual Conference for ECTs is a an opportunity for early career teachers to come together for a day of raising consciousness, competence and confidence when it comes to DEI and their teaching practice.

Bedfordshire Summer Coffee Morning with Chiltern TSH

Join Katy and colleagues from Chiltern Teaching School Hub, The MTPT Project’s Regional Representatives in Bedfordshire, for their summer mat / pat event.  As well as providing bitesize CPD and update sessions, this is a great networking space in a baby-friendly location for colleagues in Bedfordshire.

Life Friendly Leadership (Hybrid Cohort) Twilight

Participants completing the hybrid version of our Life Friendly Leadership programme have the opportunity to meet other participants and benefit from 1:1 expertise and troubleshooting with MTPT Founder, Emma Sheppard, at this evening’s twilight.
