Cheltenham Afternoon Tea

Join us for a relaxed afternoon of coffee, chats, and support for parents-teachers at the MTPT Project Afternoon Tea in Cheltenham, hosted by Holly Bedford and Alice Rawstorne, our Regional Representatives in Gloucestershire. 

All our events are family friendly and inclusive of teachers, leaders, support, TSH and central MAT staff and anyone currently on a caring-related career break who wants to stay in touch with an educational community.

Sustain and Grow – January Cohorts
Begins Tuesday 28th January / Thursday 30th 2025, 15:30-16:30, online

The Tuesday and Thursday cohorts of our Sustain and Grow group coaching programme begin this week! 

If you’re a teacher, leader or support staff colleague who is also a parent to young children, join us for this six month programme of empowering coaching.  Over six virtual sessions, we explore key themes relevant to balancing parenting and working life alongside supportive colleagues who are in the same boat as you.

Sustain and Grow will support you to find a sense of balance and control, and take the next steps in your personal or professional life so that you feel more fulfilled.

February Return to Work Workshop
Monday 3rd February 2025, 09:30-11:00, online

If you’re returning to work following a period of maternity, adoption or shared parental leave this Spring, don’t miss out on The MTPT Project’s Return to Work workshop.

We share information about your legal entitlements as returning parents, and give you the opportunity to get emotionally and logistically prepared for a confident return.

Our workshops are fully inclusive of teachers, leaders and support staff of all parenting identities, including those working in central Trust roles.  Your babies are absolutely welcome in our sessions.

Places are fully-funded for state school colleagues working in England, thanks to support from our Teaching School Hub Partners, and £45 for everyone else.

East London Coffee Morning

Parental Leave Group Coaching – Spring Cohort
Begins Tuesday 4th March 2025, 09:30-10:30, online

The Spring cohort of our Parental Leave group coaching programme begins today, offering colleagues currently on a period of maternity, adoption or shared parental leave three sessions of empowering group coaching. 

We’ll explore themes of changing identity, confidence and plans for the future over three monthly online sessions.  Your babies are absolutely welcome in our sessions and make great coaching partners!

Our coaching programmes are fully inclusive of teachers, leaders and support staff of all parenting identities, including those working in central Trust roles.  

Places are fully-funded for state school colleagues working in England, thanks to support from our Teaching School Hub Partners, and £120 for everyone else.

Life Friendly Leadership (Spring)
Begins Friday 7th March 2025, 09:30-11:00, online

Join us for a live cohort of our Life Friendly Leadership programme, where we’ll be supporting leaders in education to understand and address the motherhood penalty, and the damaging impact it is having on our workforce. 

This is a programme for leaders working at school or MAT level, including HR, SBM and People Management colleagues.  We also invite EDI and CPD leads, or union secretaries working at branch or district level to join us.

Cohorts begin in March, April and May and some funded places are available depending on your geographical region or employing Trust.  If you are currently on a period of maternity, adoption or shared parental leave but work in one of the positions listed above, please contact us about funding options.

Missing Mothers Virtual Conference

Join The MTPT Project for our annual virtual conference, running across two mornings.

On Friday, our brilliant line up of speakers will support school, MAT and systems leaders to create more family-friendly working conditions for their staff.

On Saturday, we’ll be inspiring our grassroots community of parent-educators with a fantastic set of speakers, panel guests and keynotes.

Our Missing Mothers conference is generously sponsored by Harris Federation, the National Institute of Teaching, Edurio, ASCL, Culham St Gabriel’s Trust, United Learning and The Key Group.
