Life Friendly Leadership Workshop

With 38% of teachers in The MTPT Project’s research into women leaving the profession aged 30-39 blaming school culture for their decision quit, we know that more needs to be done to improve communication between schools and teachers to address the retention crisis.  

A positive school culture that supports teachers as they become parents doesn’t just benefit mothers and fathers: the practical strategies we share in this workshop improve balance for all staff, and will help senior and middle leaders to create “life friendly” schools.

This 90 minute workshop is appropriate for school leaders, TSAs, Academy chains, Unions and independent conference organisers, especially where there is a focus on wellbeing and retention and provides the context that creates a “motherhood penalty” in education, and what we can do as schools to address this.

Group cost: £600 (maximum 30 participants)

Perfect for trusts or regional collaborations for groups of leaders, or to form part of an NPQ or leadership course, these workshops are perfect for senior leaders ready to challenge limiting cultures in their schools.

Group workshops can be organised at a date convenient to the organising school.

Teachers and leaders can self-fund, or request funding from schools to cover the cost of the workshops.
